My series is an exploration, as opposed to an assertion of ideas. I followed an instinct while creating the images, not quite sure what they meant, yet knowing with certainty which ones conveyed the feeling I sought to visually manifest. The concrete subject of the series is "Plants/Mannequins/People", in which the three are juxtaposed, taking on interactive, and sometimes ambiguous roles. I wanted to draw connections and disparities between them, I wanted to disturb myself. I wanted to be able to provoke myself with my own imagery. To explore reality, perfection, beauty, emotion, and expectation, and then to twist them around so that I end up with a new set of ideas to untangle.

Interpret this as you will.
