We’re having fun. Synchronized, uniformed, bruising fun. Right now, we’re the picture of exuberance because right now is all that exists. We’ll put our disorienting pasts and the daunting future out of mind. But before long, the past, future, and present become as interchangeable as youthful fun and violence.
In these images, shadows follow my characters. The shadows hang like ill-omened ghosts, turning into big, distorted holes on the surface. My characters, childishly depicted, act in unison, and they are having a ball despite palpable danger.
